Getting started
Logging in, your PIN, and the first things to set up.
The first time
- 1Sign up at pulosa.com with your name, business name, type of business, email and a password (at least 8 characters).
- 2Choose your PIN and create your encrypted vault. Tick “Add sample data to try things out” if you’d like example clients to explore.
- 3You’re logged in as the business admin.
- 4Make your recovery key: the dashboard shows a reminder. It’s the only way back in if every PIN is forgotten.
Getting set up, step by step
- 1The first time you log in, Let’s get your business ready opens: seven steps, one at a time. Your business details, Opening hours and booking, your treatments and prices, Your team, Getting paid, Your website and Your recovery key.
- 2Each step says why it matters and has a button that takes you to the right page. When you’ve done it, Back to setup at the bottom of the screen brings you back to the same step.
- 3Most steps tick themselves off once they’re done (an address and phone saved, the website published, a recovery key made). For your treatments, tap This is done when the menu’s right. Skip for now leaves a step for later; Put it back on the list undoes it. Only the recovery key can’t be skipped: without it, forgotten PINs can’t be got around.
- 4Finish later goes to the dashboard, where Finish setting up shows how far you’ve got, with Continue. Hide takes the card away; opening the setup steps again (Open setup, below) brings it back until everything’s done.
- 5Only admins see the setup steps.
First things to set up
- 1Admin → Business → Profile: your business name, business type (it sets the wording across the app), address, phone and email, logo, opening hours and online booking settings.
- 2Admin → Treatments: your treatments, prices, lengths and who does each one.
- 3Admin → Team: add your team, each with their own PIN.
- 4Admin → Business → Payments: how clients pay, and connect Stripe for card payments.
- 5Admin → Website & messages → Website: choose a look and publish. Your address, phone, email and opening hours are filled in from Business profile.
Finding your way around
The menu has Dashboard, Today, Calendar, Clients, Marketing, Admin and Finances (the audit log is in Admin → Data & compliance), but you only see the parts you have access to (on a phone, it’s the bar along the bottom). The globe at the top opens your website, the envelope shows Messages (website messages and client emails) and the bell shows notifications. The gear by your name opens My account (on a phone, tap your picture at the top, then My account settings). On a computer, tap the arrow by your logo to shrink the menu to icons and give the page more room (point at an icon to see its name); tap it again to open the full menu. Pulosa remembers which you prefer on that device. Messages, notifications, transactions, the sent log, the audit log, gift card history and payments show the time as well as the day (for example Today, 14:32, Yesterday, 09:10 or 27 Oct, 14:32), always in UK time on the 24-hour clock.
Your free trial
