Website & messages
Website pages, news, address and domain
Extra pages, legal pages, news posts and your Google listing; and Website settings: switching it on or off, maintenance mode, your web address, the map, other links and Google Analytics.
Business details
Your address, phone, email, opening hours and social media links live in Admin → Business → Profile, and the map and your other links (Google reviews, your shop and so on) in Admin → Website & messages → Website settings. They save straight away and your website shows them, so there’s nothing to change for them in the editor.
Pages
Each page has a title, its own address, and whether to show the title and show it on your website. Text is optional: a new page starts with a hero banner showing its title, and a Custom layout under it to build on (they go live when you publish; delete the hero if you don’t want one). Your contact page and legal pages (privacy policy, terms, disclaimer) are here. Once your DPIA is signed off, the privacy policy on your website also gets a short How we protect your health information section (see Data protection impact assessment). Pages go live when you save. In the list, each page shows its name, whether it’s a legal or contact page, Hidden if it’s switched off, and when it was last updated. Tap ⋯ beside it to view it on your website, or to delete one of your own pages (legal and contact pages can be switched off instead). Tap New page to add one, and choose where pages are linked in Header and menu.
Writing the text
Page and post text is written like a normal document: type, and use the bar above it. Normal text, Heading or Subheading sets the style of the line you’re on. B makes words bold, the list button starts bullet points, and the link button links the words you’ve selected to a web address, an email or a phone number. Tick Open in a new tab to keep your website open behind it: it’s ticked for you for other websites and not for your own pages, and you can change it. Tap the link button again inside a link to change or remove it. On pages, Insert adds details like your business name, address, email or phone as tags; they’re filled in on your website and stay up to date if you change them. Paste from Word, Google Docs or another website and it keeps the headings, bold, bullets and links and drops the rest. Undo and Redo are on the right (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z work too). On a page’s settings in the editor, what you type shows on the page beside it straight away.
News posts
Write posts with a cover photo. Save a draft or publish. Each post has its own address (yourname.pulosa.com/news/…), made from the title until you change it; changing it later breaks links already shared. In the list, each post shows Published and its date, or Draft and when it was last saved. Tap ⋯ beside it to view it on your website or delete it. There’s a reminder about advertising rules for medical treatments.
Write with AI
- 1Tap Write with AI above a page’s or post’s text, beside a section’s text, intro or About box, or above your questions (Write questions with AI) or columns (Write columns with AI).
- 2Say in a few words what it should cover (include any prices or times so it doesn’t have to guess), and pick a tone and length. Already have text? Choose Improve what’s there instead.
- 3It suggests a title (pages and posts), heading (sections), site title or subject line too, every time, including Try again. Untick Use this title to keep yours. No notes? A title is enough for it to go on.
- 4Questions and columns: choose how many, then Replace my questions or Add to my list. Edit any of them, or leave one out, before you use them. It never writes reviews: those have to be your clients’ own words.
- 5Check the draft and title, edit them if you like, then Replace my text, Add to the end, or Try again. Fill in anything left in [brackets].
- 6Nothing changes until you choose to use it and save. It avoids naming prescription-only medicines and never makes up prices or facts.
Create images with AI
- 1Tap Create with AI under a section’s photos (header, gallery, image blocks, video covers), Create a background with AI for a photo background, or Create with AI beside a news post’s cover photo.
- 2It suggests what the picture should show from the section’s heading and text, or the post. Change the words as you like, choose Photo, Soft illustration or Flat graphic, and whether to Include a person or have No people.
- 3Tap Create image. Like it? Use this image. If not, Try again (each image made uses one from your month’s AI images).
- 4Writing a post with Write with AI? Tick Then make a cover image with AI, and it opens straight after with an idea from your new post.
- 5People in AI images are made up by the AI, never real people or photos from the internet. They can be shown having the treatment, with natural-looking close-ups (eyes, brows, lashes, lips, nails, teeth, skin). Never before-and-afters, needles or syringes, body shapes, exaggerated looks or words, so the picture doesn’t promise a result under UK advertising rules. Use your own photos, with permission, for real results and your team. Nothing changes until you save.
Your AI allowance
Plans that include AI get a number of AI writes each month (each draft and each Try again uses one), and images where your plan includes them (each image made uses one). Failed attempts don’t count. Admin → Website & messages → AI features → AI writer and Admin → Business → Billing both show how many you’ve used and have left. It starts again on the 1st.
Website settings
Admin → Website & messages → Website settings keeps everything about your website that isn’t how it looks, all saved straight away (no need to publish): whether it’s Live, with View website and Open the editor; the Business website switch (turn it off and visitors see “not available” until you switch it back on, nothing is lost); Maintenance mode for a short break; your web address (yourname.pulosa.com: change it and tap Save address, but old links to the old address stop working) and your own domain if connected; Map and other links (show a map of your address, and links in your footer like Google reviews: tap Save links); and Google Analytics and Search Console.
Your own domain
- 1Admin → Website & messages → Website settings, under Web address → Your own domain. Type the domain you own (for example glowstudio.co.uk) and tap Connect domain. Typing glowstudio.co.uk or www.glowstudio.co.uk sets up both: the website is on www, and glowstudio.co.uk goes to it. A subdomain such as book.glowstudio.co.uk works too.
- 2Pulosa shows the DNS records to add, each with a Copy button. Sign in where you bought the domain and add them: choose your provider under Where did you buy your domain? for the steps (GoDaddy, 123 Reg, IONOS, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Squarespace, Wix or another). Delete any old A or CNAME records with the same names first. On Cloudflare, set Proxy status to DNS only.
- 3Pulosa keeps checking by itself (every few minutes, or tap Check now). It usually connects within minutes, sometimes a few hours. It then says Connected, the security certificate is set up for you, and your website, booking links and emails use your domain. Your pulosa.com address keeps working too. The records then fold away under DNS records: tap it to see them again.
- 4Remove domain stops using it (it asks first): your website goes back to its pulosa.com address only.
Google listing
In the editor, Google listing sets the site title and description Google and browser tabs show. Leave them blank and they’re made from your business name and About text.
